Gasparilla Island is the barrier island home to Boca Grande, with access to Gasparilla Sound, nearby flats, and famous pass fishing. The area brings together protected inshore water and the tidal movement that defines the Boca Grande region.
Tarpon are the headline species from May through July, but snook, redfish, sharks, and black drum make the island an all-season inshore destination. Each water type—from mangrove edge to pass channel—can play a role in the day.
